American heritage is a really hard class. But today's lecture made up for all the hard tests and dull readings. My teacher did the Napolean Dynamite dance, in costume and all! Watch it on youtube--here.
American Heritage was the worst class I ever took at BYU. To this day, I still cringe when I think about it all.... JSB, 600 students, teacher yammering on and on and speaking way to fast, students taking notes at record speed, teacher using an overhead projector --he would take the overhead down toooo soon and every time you could hear a very sorry and discouraging sigh come across the auditorium, from students. We would walk out of the JSB in a fog on a sunny day! So, I will watch this teacher dance and maybe, just maybe, I will smile and have a better feeling about American Heritage from here on out. xo
No, not every day was a picnic. Sydney, notes are still taken at record speeds and (although we have moved to power points)sighs still heard across the auditorium when he moves on to the next slide too soon. However, I truly hope you can have a better feeling about American Heritage. That truly is what this blog is about--enjoying all that BYU has to offer.
Hey Shelby, Your mom sent me a link here! I am so excited. Ever since I cancelled my FB account I have missed you! Anyway, funny dance thing. Good to connect with you, even if it is "virtually". Love you!!
That is amazing!! How many times has your professor done this over the years? I can't believe he learned the entire song!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun teacher! We thoroughly enjoyed watching this. "Do the chickens have large talons?" "That's like a dollar an hour!"
ReplyDeleteAre you drinking 2% cause you think you're fat, cause you're not...you could be drinking whole if you wanted to.

ReplyDeleteI love Sydney's comment. Truthfully, every day was not a picnic in American Heritage for you, right Shelby?
